Work with Lead Accounts - Manager Access

If your organization does not use the Lead account functionality, please ignore this section. A Lead is an account that needs manager approval before deals can be created for it. When someone submits a Lead account for your approval, you must take action on it (either approve or reject it). When a salesperson submits a Lead account, Matrix will alert you via email and by a red bubble on the Street Level icon.You can easily approve the Lead by responding 'Accept' to the email or through Matrix.Use the Prospect Approval Pod to work with Leads. 



To Approve a Lead: 
1.Move your pointer over the Lead.
2.A popup box appears.
3.In the lower right corner, click the Accept button.

Notes:
A message appears, confirming your action and the Lead is converted to a Prospecaccount.    
Matrix will automatically send an email to the person that submitted it, informing them that it was approved.

To Reject a Lead:
1.Move your pointer over the Lead. 
2.A popup box appears.
3.In the lower left corner, click the Reject button
4.The Reason for Rejection box appears. Type a note, stating the reason why you are rejecting the Lead. 
5.Click the Save button.

Notes: 

  • A message appears, confirming your action. The Lead remains a Lead account.      
  • Matrix will automatically send an email to the person that submitted it, informing them that it was rejected. The note that you typed will be included in the email.  
  • An alternative to using the Prospect Approval pod to approve a Lead is to use your email system. This can be convenient when you have limited computer access and/or time.

To Approve a Lead via Email: 
1.When you receive an email alerting you that someone has submitted a Lead, click Reply.
2.In the body of the email message, type 'Approved'. (It is not case sensitive.) 
3.Send the message.
The Lead is converted to a Prospect account. 
Matrix will automatically send an email to the person that submitted it, informing them that it was approved. 

Note: You can only use your email system to approve a Lead. If you wish to reject it, you must log in to Matrix.
If you prefer not to receive Prospect approval emails, please click on “My Profile” > “Preferences” > Click on the “No/Yes” switch so that is says “NO” for the “Prospect Approval Email” setting and click the “Save” button.
